Protecting your corporate name
Although your name has been granted by Corporations Canada, you are responsible for any likelihood of confusion that might exist between your name and another trademark or business name. You may even be required to change your name if confusion is found to exist.
You may want to consider seeking a trademark to further protect your corporate name. Corporate names and trademarks can be very similar or even identical. For more information on trademarks see the Canadian Intellectual Property Office website.
