The following summarizes the Exemption Decisions made by the Director under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act.

The Canadian National Aquatic Toxicity Workshop

Decision No.:  A-001/16

It has been determined in accordance with subsection 2(6) of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (the "Act") that The Canadian National Aquatic Toxicity Workshop ("Corporation") is considered as not being a soliciting corporation. This exemption has been granted on condition that the Corporation, in any financial year after the financial year that ended June 30, 2016, does not receive income in excess of the prescribed amount referred to in subsection 2(5.1) of the Act in any form listed in that subsection.

This exemption has been granted on September 9, 2016.

Decision No.:  D-012/16

It has been determined, pursuant to subsection 160(2) of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, for the annual meeting of members for the financial year ending March 31, 2016, that Alzheimer Society of Canada / Société Alzheimer du Canada is authorized to extend the time for calling the annual meeting of members to January 31, 2017.

This decision has been rendered on September 13, 2016.
