The following summarizes the Exemption Decisions made by the Director under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act.

THE CANADIAN BAR INSURANCE ASSOCIATION

Decision No.: D-002/17

It has been determined, pursuant to subsection 160(2) of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, for each annual meeting of members for the financial years ending November 30 of 2016 up to and including 2020, THE CANADIAN BAR INSURANCE ASSOCIATION / L'ASSOCIATION D'ASSURANCES DU BARREAU CANADIEN is authorized to extend the time for calling the annual meeting of members to November 30th of the following year. The Corporation is required to provide unaudited financial statements to members at or before the annual meeting in each of those years for the ongoing financial year.

It has been determined, pursuant to subsection 160(2) of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, for the annual meeting of members for the financial year ending December 31, 2016, that NATIONAL CAPITAL CHILDREN'S ONCOLOGY CARE INC. – / SOINS ONCOLOGIQUES POUR LES ENFANTS DE LA CAPITALE NATIONALE INC. is authorized to extend the time for calling the annual meeting of members to September 27, 2017.

Decision No.: D-004/17

It has been determined, pursuant to subsection 160(2) of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, for the annual meeting of members for the financial year ending March 31, 2017, that Canadian Lacrosse Association / Association Canadienne de Crosse is authorized to extend the time for calling the annual meeting of members to December 31, 2017.

It has been determined, pursuant to subsection 162(5) of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, that THE CANADIAN BAR INSURANCE ASSOCIATION / L'ASSOCIATION D'ASSURANCES DU BARREAU CANADIEN is authorized to give notice of meetings of members to its Active and General classes of members by publication in the National Magazine of the Canadian Bar Association, or in any successor publication to the National Magazine which is broadly distributed to the members of the Canadian Bar Association.
