Public consultations concerning executive compensation and the well-being of employees, retirees and pensioners

Corporations Canada launches public consultations on proposed regulations under the Canada Business Corporations Act (CBCA) concerning executive compensation and the well-being of employees, retirees and pensioners.

On June 21, 2019, Bill C-97 received Royal Assent and amendments were made to the CBCA. Before most of the CBCA amendments in Bill C-97 can come into force, some details need to be set out in the regulations to complete the provisions. This consultation will help Corporations Canada specify these details.

How to get involved

Corporations Canada is seeking feedback and suggestions from stakeholders on the regulatory proposals until March 31, 2021.
