Littlejohn implemented a cable system throughout the entire school with the assistance of a local TV company that supplied cable and hardware. With TV monitors in all the classrooms and hallways, students of all grade levels have the opportunity to broadcast slide presentations, student interest announcements, presentations in lieu of the normal principal's morning announcements, sports newscasts, etc.
He also founded an annual robotics competition open to all students in the Avalon West School District, led his junior robotics team to take home five out of six trophies at the provincial robotics competition, and led his team to compete in a North American Robotics competition in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mr. Littlejohn encourages other teachers to develop curriculum and themes that integrate information technology. He developed and delivered a week-long course on networking for other teachers.
