New! Corporate filing notices

Corporations Canada (CC) has taken further measures to safeguard the public corporate record for federal corporations and to increase security by enhancing its procedures, in an ongoing effort to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the information about federal corporations that is available to the public. This is very important since it contributes to a high functioning marketplace.

These measures can be strengthened through the combined efforts of both government and business. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to act immediately:

Stay vigilant

You should remain vigilant by verifying your corporation's corporate records on a regular basis and you should inform CC if any information is inaccurate. It is your responsibility to keep your public corporate records up-to-date with CC.

We've implemented new corporate filing notices

Starting in September, you can receive an email notice when changes to your corporation's directors, registered office address, name or status have been filed with CC. The notice will help you remain vigilant by letting you know as soon as changes were made. If you believe something is wrong, you'll be able to verify the changes and let us know immediately.

If you have already subscribed to receive the annual return reminder notices for your corporation, you will automatically receive these corporate filing notices as well. If you have not already subscribed but want to, you can now subscribe.

These actions are part of CC's plan to strengthen processes to protect the integrity of federal corporate information.
